Silver Adept’s offerings:
Silver Adept Auction #1
Organizations this auction benefits: Bidder's choice of any of the listed groups (See full list.)
Type of fanwork: Written
Subtype(s): Fanfic
Fandom(s): RWBY, Steven Universe, Star Trek: Lower Decks
Highest rating: E (Explicit)
Length/scope: 5 -10k words
Especially interested in: I really like poking into the world and seeing what falls out or examining spaces that are hinted at in the canon but otherwise left to exist in the world and interact. Characters coming into their competence or discovering hidden depths are always fun, and I do like figuring out what the parts of characters are that will still shine through in different settings, alternate universes, or for pairings that don't follow the canon.
Unwilling to address: I have no interest in stories inside the
incest taboo, so I wouldn't write it particularly well.
I'm leery
of abusive relationships uncritically portrayed as positive. (I do not
consider consensual kink inherently abusive.)
I'm not interested in
watersports or scat as kinks or things to be explored.
Notes: Hello!
You are bidding on a text fanwork in one
of the three fandoms mentioned in this auction, with a minimum
wordcount of 5,000 words. If you're the winning bidder, after the
auction is concluded, we'll communicate over e-mail or other methods
to get your ideas, possible pairings, and prompts for the work. Once
you're satisfied with the direction, I'll get to work drafting, and
then loop back to you with questions, excerpts, and eventually, ask
you about any betas you want to have look over the work before final
posting. This is usually a process that takes several months to get
done.
I'm open to AU ideas, crossovers, fusions, and other
playing with canon elements as well as stories within the canonical
boundaries.
Having more than one idea that you would enjoy
having written is helpful, but not strictly necessary.
Special Interests: F/f ships, Poly ships, Canonically trans or nonbinary characters, Trans or nonbinary interpretations of canon characters
Minimum Bid: $5
Auctions run from 8:00AM EST, 1 March 2023, to 8:00PM EST, 5 March 2023. Bids before or after this period are invalid and will not be counted. If you would like to bid on this auction:
Step 1: Check the bidding spreadsheet to find out what the current high bid is. (Note: It may take up to five minutes for a bid to appear.)
Step 2: Fill out the creator's bidding form with a bid that is higher than the current high bid. If you want to make it harder for someone to outbid you, bid higher! We will NOT notify you if someone outbids you. If you would like to track changes to this bidding sheet, select Tools -> Notification Settings. Email notifications may not be immediate, so we do not recommend relying on them near the end of the auction period. Bookmark this sheet so you can check it manually. FTH will only notify you if you are the high bidder after the auctions end.
Silver Adept Auction #2
Organizations this auction benefits: Bidder's choice of any of the listed groups (See full list.)
Type of fanwork: Fan Labor
Subtype(s): Betaing, Culture picking, Specialist expertise
Fandom(s): Any
Highest rating: E (Explicit)
Length/scope: I would like the contribution to be something
in the neighborhood of $1 USD for each 1k of words (or equivalent) for
the finished work (as projected at the time of bidding.) However, we
understand that budgets are sometimes limited.
Areas of expertise: I can speak to the experiences of the U.S.
in various Great Lakes regional settings and some of the Pacific
Northwest.
I am also a trained information professional working
in a public library, so settings involving public libraries,
programming for youth and teenagers, or information organization and
retrieval, from the university setting and studies through current
practice are things I can comment on.
I can speak to sport
culture and rules of various sports as played in the United States, as
well as the differences between many of the amateur and professional
levels and leagues of sport.
Experience: I am a trained and practicing information professional for more than fifteen years. I have lived significant amounts of time in both of the U.S. regions mentioned, and I have followed all sorts of sport leagues for all of my life.
Other notes about labor offered: This offering is for any of the listed services in isolation or together, related to a single work produced. Geographical limitations and any restrictions imposed by pandemic conditions apply. Research will be conducted with the resources available to a public library subscriber.
Especially interested in: Not specifically.
Unwilling to address: I'm not interested in working with material that contains pairings inside the incest taboo, I am going to be leery of nearly all works that use kink as a cover for abuse, and I'm not all that much for scat, watersports, or relentless cruel humiliation of someone, especially if it drives then toward suicidal ideation or self harm.
Notes: I will do my best to be helpful, but if you would like something more than readability and SPaG for your work, I will probably need a source where I can consume the canon, or at least the parts of the canon most relevant to your work.
Special Interests: F/f ships, Poly ships, Canonically trans or nonbinary characters, Trans or nonbinary interpretations of canon characters
