Notes: Lori is one of my favorite characters, so please keep it in mind. It's fine if you want a story where she isn't present because she dies in childbirth or by accident (or never met/married Rick in the first place), and portraying the Grimes' marriage as unhappy and failing is perfectly fine. People grow up and apart. While I'm a fan of Everybody!Lives, some stories require canon (or non-canon) deaths for emotional impact. As long as characters aren't killed off indiscriminately like in show canon, I'm not against major character death.
